That could be alliteration in the title, a characters name, or an actor/director/writer's name. Alliteration is of course the same letter or sound at the beginning of words e.g. Clark Kent, Wonder Woman, Steven Spielberg
First up, let’s look at movie titles with alliteration. One classic example is Peter Pan (1953), the Disney film about the boy who wouldn’t grow up. There's the Pitch Perfect trilogy about an all-female a cappella group or Dev Patel's recent directorial debut Monkey Man (2024)
Next, let’s talk about characters with alliterative names. One of the most famous examples (and my favourite movies) has to be Superman (1978), with the iconic 'Clark Kent'. We often see alliteration in Superhero movies, e.g. Spider-Man’s Peter Parker or Iron Man's Pepper Potts, Tony Stark's loyal assistant. Sites like ours and IMDB will show the characters names, making it easy to scan through for alliterative character names.
Finally, some movies have alliteration in the names of the people who made them. One well-known example is Charlie Chaplin, the legendary actor and director behind classics like Modern Times (1936) and The Great Dictator (1940). There's the man who created the summer blockbuster, Steven Spielberg and most recently Greta Gerwig found huge success with Barbie (2023).Below we’ve added a bunch of other suggestions/recommendations for movies that would count for the challenge.
