Connected to another movie

The obvious solution to this challenge is a to watch a sequel or prequel to a movie franchise you're already invested in, however there are some other options...

Sometimes a classic gets a new coat of paint, by way of a remake or a reimagining. Some movies have unique connections, such as Michael Keaton's protrayal of Ray Nicolette in 2 seemingly unrelated movies - Jackie Brown and Out of Sight (both based on books by Elmore Leonard), or The Raid and Dredd which feature similar plotlines about the police working their way floor by floor of a large building to arrest the baddie who’s holed up at the top.

Finally, you could watch an alternate version of a movie you're familiar with. This could be a director's cut, an extended edition or a fanedit. Those of you with google fu skills could seek out a fanedit for something you already own such as the infamous “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair”. If you’re interested in fanedits, there’s a great sub for that on Reddit! Or you could revisit the Week 42 challenge from 2022, watch the first movie in a franchise you've not yet started.
